Life
I must be strong, I must be strong... I got Dead Space 3 as a late b-day gift from Drew and Sasha one Saturday and spent all of Sunday playing it. *Waves hands wildly and runs around in circles.* I really want to go back to playing it. I love my little Salvage bots, Look at them go!!! But... I need to get work down today or I'll get nothing done this week. I have waaayyy too many appointments this week to go around playing video games again...

I had a fun weekend. Kim, my wife, actually came with me to the TCAF. We first hit up the Sanko to pick up some Japanese snacks. I got some なめらか抹茶ショコラ (Green tea chocolates), And Kim got some コアラのアーチ (Koala no Aachi) Strawberry filled koala shaped biscuits, as well as きこりの切株
(chocolate covered tree stumps). I really have to go back there for some of the Dango and other stuff they have to try out.

The subways were shut down downtown so we had to take a shuttle bus up to the con. They had a Wacom booth right at the door with one of those Cintiq monitor tablets. They asked if I wanted to try, but I had to pull myself away because the price is something I could never afford.  $2,000 is waaayy out of my price range so I don't even want to touch one.

Found Sasha at the main door and then Drew and their friend came afterwards. We all ventured into the depths of madness. Most of what I was looking for was on the second floor so we didn't spend much time on the first floor. It was so crowded that there was a line up to get into the second floor room. Found Svetlana's table right away with the Bento comics crew, but Svet was away at a panel as usual.  So we ventured off to look else wheres.

Found just across the room from Svet's table. Finally got to talk to the siblings after following their silliness DA and tumblr for the last while. Also picked up their book Silly Kingdom

Which was, well, silly. LOL

Kim and Sasha ended up picking up a couple of Nemu plushies which are really cute. The artist was away searching for water and apparently missing, Happens a lot at cons, the search for the missing artist.

The one thing that almost everyone who was working there said was that I did the right thing to escape that madness. It is crowded, insane and so stressful...

Finally returned back to Bento comics to find Svet swarmed by fans. I had some of Svet's first manga from way back when we first met and she worked with me. She wanted to scan them for herself. Ended up showing them to her friend so they could see where she started. People couldn't believe I had something from before she worked with Tokyo Pop. Stuff that very few have got to see. I'm never letting these go and she'd better give them back...

After all of that Drew, Sasha, Kim and myself went to grab some food then headed back to our place where we talked, watched Cats and Dogs 2 and Little Witch Academia, then they went back to their hotel and we crashed.

That is pretty much our weekend. Now I need to get some work done today. Svet wants to meet up with me tomorrow for a get together, because she is always working lately, and possible give me copies of my really old manga from back in the late 90s... If I don't burn them that is...

Wednesday and Thursday I have doctors appointments, one being several hours away, so I won't be able to get much of anything done on those days. So that just leaves getting work done today and Friday.

Well that is enough rambling out of me, time for works.
