No they are not in a romantic relationship of any time so don't think it. I actually have no idea what compelled me to draw Melody doing that to her sister, but when I thought of her trying to comfort Hitomi that is the sketch that came out of me. They are just sisters so don't get the wrong idea.

Hopefully this explains a bit more. I hope to have more up soon enough. Enjoy.

Awwww.... Melody is just making sure Hitomi understands that she's there for her, in a big-sisterly way.

At first I thought she was tilting Hitomi's face up in a romantic way, but people do that sometimes to make sure they are making eye contact and getting through to them. I agree with what someone else said, though... it might have been better if Melody put her hand on top of Hitomi's head... it would have been more sibling-like.

I do like what you've done, though, don't get me wrong.

You do whatever feels right in your mind... it's a beautiful manga so far.

I love their relationship... it makes me wish that I had a big sis to turn to when I was growing up.

The reason I don't have her patting Hitomi's head is because that is not in her personality. Melody is not a head patter, she is a little more touchy feelie. It is part of her personality, but yeah you are right she is trying to make sure Hitomi does not turn away. I don't know if you have noticed this but Hitomi tends to turn her head away when she is talking or embarrassed.

I'm glad you are enjoying it. I wish I had a big sister like her as well, but sadly I was the big sister in my family and lost my sister when I was kicked out so never got to be a big sister to her much. *sighs*

Also, yeah, I did kinda notice that Hitomi tends to look down or away whenever she is talking or embarrassed... it's kinda cute.

Sorry things didn't go so well with your family.

It's gotta be hard being the big sister... it sucks that you weren't really able to be a big sis. I've never been much of a family person, but it does suck for me being an only child. It's not as nice being an only child as people often think... I actually get very lonely at times.

I consider a lot of things when I think about a character, would they do this or would they do that? That kind of thing. I try to keep it all in mind when drawing them and think of what they would do in any given situation to give them more personality.

She is cute that way. It is one of the things I love about her. I never get tried of drawing her blush. LOL

I know how the loneliness can feel consider I have been on my own for a long long time. I feel I really messed up with my little sister because I was never around and found out later that she got pregnant when she was only 15 and is not on drugs. Makes me wonder if I could have made a difference or not. *shrugs* Guess I can't wollow in the past.

Well back to work with me.

Yeah, I'm the same way with my own characters... I haven't made a manga yet, but I originally wanted to make one. I just don't have the patience to make a manga.

However, my characters do have a lot of personality.

I was actually the same way with my ex-gf that Hitomi is with Ayumi... I was all like "I only love Kristen! She's the only girl I'll ever love!" lol I guess that's why I've never really given other girls a chance... I'm always comparing them to my ex. But Kristen was perfect for me.

Sorry that happened to your little sister... don't blame yourself, though. Kids are curious when it comes to sex... she might have still done it at age 15 and gotten pregnant even if you had been there to help guide her... but who knows. You're right, though, you can't wallow in the past.

We can learn from the past, though.

Yeah, manga needs a lot of patience and time. I mean it took me only a month to write out 14 chapters while it has taken 3 months to finish 2 chapters of the manga. But it is worth while in the end and a lot of fun, at least I feel it is.

Hitomi learns soon enough that there are other girls in the world. She just needs time. But yet she stays pretty hung up on Ayumi for most of the story and probably won't ever get over her.

Hard not to blame myself, but I try not too let it get me down so much.

Only 2 more pages in this chapter left and last night I ended coming up with several new chapters so this story keeps getting longer and longer the more I work on it. One day I'll get to the ending.
